Abernathy joins MV Chamber with ribbon cutting

 Flanked by friends, family and community members, John and Sarah Abernathy, of Abernathy Roofing and Construction, cut the ceremonial ribbon at an event hosted by the Mt. Vernon Area Chamber of Commerce, to join the organization. For those in attendance, Abernathy provided a delicious meal from Hog Tide Barbecue. The construction company, headquartered in Joplin, recently opened a Mt. Vernon location, at 110 West Mt. Vernon Boulevard.
