Alberta Sparkman

Alberta Sparkman, age 92, of Marionville, Missouri, passed away at 1:43 a.m. on Sunday, December 27, 2020, at the Aurora Nursing Center in Aurora, Missouri.  She was born May 9, 1928, in Halltown, Missouri, the daughter of Acie and Lucy (Farris) Lovett.
Alberta was a 1945 graduate of Aurora High School.  After retiring from Juvenile Shoe Corporation in Aurora, she went to work at the Ozark Mountain Regional Healthcare in Crane, Missouri, and the Aurora Nursing Center in the housekeeping department for several years.  She loved bowling, water skiing, quilting and was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Aurora.
On March 21, 1953, she married James Sparkman in Aurora.  He preceded her in death on January 29, 2017.
Alberta is survived by her son Daniel Sparkman and his wife, Tammy, of Monett, Missouri; her daughter, Carolyn Williams of Aurora; 10 grandchildren; 27 great- grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Frank Kokai, of Denver, Colorado and several nieces and nephews.
Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, Acie and Lucy, her husband, James, two infant sons, two great-grandsons, Josh Elliott and Matthew Wallace and her sister, Jane Kokai.
A funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at the Williams Funeral Home in Marionville burial followed at the Marionville IOOF Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made payable to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in care of the funeral home.
