Alice Faye Lawson

Alice Faye Lawson, 83, of Monett, formerly of Oklahoma City, Okla., passed away Sept. 4, 2019, while at Oak Pointe in Monett.
She was born March 11, 1936 in Verona, to the late Frank and Jewell (Ball) Walton. She graduated from Verona High School with the class of 1954 and for many years worked as an office manager for Orthopedic Associates in Oklahoma City. She loved her church, her grandkids and animals. She married Bill Lawson in 1953 in Biloxi, Miss.
Survivors include: son, Jeff (Karri) Lawson of Guthrie, Okla.; daughter, Sherry (Jerry) Ross and husband of Santa Monica, Calif.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Patsy (Mike) Wilks and Norma Ballay. She was preceded in death by: her parents and brother, Bill Walton.
Graveside services were held Sept. 6, 2019 at Calton Cemetery, southeast of Monett. Memorials may be made Crossings Community Church in care of the funeral home.Arrangements were entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
