APRIL PEARL TENNIS

April Pearl Tennis, age 55, of Stotts City, Missouri, was called to heaven on Saturday, November 5, 2022, peacefully in her home with her family. April was born April 11, 1967, in Montgomery, Alabama, the daughter of Edward and Betty (Welch) Bakken and later adopted by Carol Weis.
April worked for Dons Crossroads store for many years, where she met most of her friends. She loved her family and friends very much. April was working for HG Johnson Wood Products in Pierce City, Missouri.
On June 19, 2010, she married Shelby Tennis in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
April is survived by her husband of 12 years, Shelby; two daughters, Eden (David Ray) Braden of Pierce City, Missouri and April Cox of Springfield, Missouri; two sons, Shelby (Bailey) Tennis II  of Rogersville, Missouri and Edward Braden of Springfield; three sisters, Anita Chappell of Gainesville, Missouri, Geniva Brooks and Jeannette Shockey both of West Plains, Missouri; three brothers, Chris Woods, Garry Bakken and Clinton Bakken all of West Plains, Missouri and 11 grandchildren, Skyer Grubaugh, Travis, Rylee, Colton, Kaleb and Aria Ray, Eddie Braden, Candice, Derek and Selina Cox and Clay Tennis.
April was preceded in death by her father, Edward Bakken, mother, Carol Bakken and her adopted mother, Carol Weis.
April was a loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother and will be deeply missed.
A celebration of April’s life will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at The Marc, 822 W. Mt. Vernon Blvd., Mt. Vernon. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
