Aurora Houn’ Dawgs sweep big week

Aurora made the most of another big week, going 3-0 and stayed scorching hot after a hiccup against state-ranked Springfield Catholic. The Dawgs have now taken six of their last seven, that includes three wins over teams with double-digit wins and against two bitter rivals. Following a week that saw Aurora down Strafford and Hollister, the Dawgs battled Logan Rogersville (14-4) and a pair of rivals in Mt. Vernon and Monett.
They opened the week Tuesday against the No. 3 team in Class 4, as they traveled to Logan-Rogersville to take on the Wildcats. Aurora used a great outing by Trey Muhlolland on the mound to down the Wildcats, 6-3. The Dawgs returned home, Thursday where they defeated Mt. Vernon in a tight 4-0 contest behind a great outing by Jaesik Friggle on the mound. They wrapped up the week with a 13-0 dismantlement of Monett, Friday.
The Dawgs move to 11-5 with another pair of games on the docket for this week. They opened Tuesday at Reeds Spring before returning home Thursday against Marshfield at 4:30 p.m.
