Bernice Branum

Bernice Branum, 87, of Monett passed away Feb. 14, 2021 while at Lacoba Homes following a lengthy illness.
She was born on Oct. 8, 1933 in Buffalo the daughter of the late Bertrum Iverson Richerson and Pansy Beulah (Gaunt) Richerson. She graduated from Buffalo High School. For many years, she worked for the International Institute of Learning, as well as for Aggieville in Monett. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Monett.
On March 25, 1952, she married William Ray “Bill” Branum. To this union, three children were born. They were married over 63 years together.
She is survived by sons, Ron Branum and Randy (Vikki) Branum; daughter, Debbie (Ron) Creed all of Monett; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents and brother, Cecil Richerson.
Funeral services were held Feb. 19, 2021 at Buchanan Funeral Home. Visitation was Friday. Interment was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monett. Memorials may be made to Crosslines. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home.
