Bertie L. Newman

Bertie L. Newman, 83, of Aurora, passed away Nov. 25, 2018. She was born Jan. 18, 1935, in Leachville Ark., to B. T. and Savanah (Culp) Arnold. Newman was a homemaker and a member of Believers Tabernacle in Nixa.
Survivors include: sons, Johnny (Sharon) Newman of Nixa, Tommy (René) Newman of Aurora, David (Karen) Newman of Jeffersonville, Ind. and Micah (Lisa) Newman Henryville, Ind.; daughters, Dona (Keith) Teague of Aurora and Michaela (William) Anderson of Dixon, Tenn.; brothers, James (Barbara) Arnold of Creal Springs, Ill. and Gene (Phyllis) Arnold of Poplar Bluff; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends. Newman was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Clifton Newman; and 11 brothers and sisters.
Visitation was held Nov. 30, 2018, funeral services were held Dec. 1, 2018 in Stumpff Funeral Chapel in Crane. Burial was in Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home.
