BETTY LOU (HASS) YEATER
Betty Lou (Hass) Yeater, age 96, of Marionville, Missouri, passed away at 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was born September 1, 1923, in Albany, Missouri, the daughter of Wayne and Lela (Harmon) Hass.
Betty was a 1941 graduate of Grant City High School in Grant City Missouri and the Chillicothe Business College in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was the manager of the Farm and Home Savings in Kansas City, Missouri, for 30 years retiring in 1982. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Kansas City Airstream Club. Betty and her husband, Bob loved to travel and had visited all the National Parks in the United States.
On April 2, 1949, she married Homer Gerald (Bob) Yeater in Marshall, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2018.
Betty is survived by her sister, Mary Ellen (Hass) Boll and her husband, Don of Verona, Missouri; three sisters-in-law, Pal Hass of Pittsfield, Illinois, Louise Hass-Taylor, of Gallatin, Missouri and Mary Hass of Garden City, Kansas and several nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Lela, husband, Homer, two sisters, Carol Davis and her husband, Joe, and Helen Smith and her husband, Charles, three brothers, Hale, Don and William Hass and one sister-in-law, Marjorie Schoenberg.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 29, 2019, at the South Haven Baptist Church, 16800 Bel-Ray Blvd, Belton, Missouri. Burial will be held at a later date at the Grandview Cemetery in Albany, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of the Williams Funeral Home in Marionville, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the Ozarks Methodist Manor in Marionville or the Missouri Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri, in care of Williams Funeral Home, PO Box 103, Marionville, Missouri, 65705.
