Big rig totaled in Hwy. 39 crash near Honey Creek

A semi truck was totaled last week when it, and the trailer it was pulling, veered off the right side of the Highway 39 roadway and overturned three miles south of Mt. Vernon, near Honey Creek.
The crash occurred in the noon hour of Tuesday March 17. The driver of the tractor-trailer, Daniel D. Ott, 55, of Aurora, was traveling north on the highway connecting Aurora and Mt. Vernon, when he steered the 2005 Mack CXN into the ditch, and eventually overturned. Ott was fortunately wearing his seatbelt at the time of the incident, and only received minor injuries.
