Billy Lee Ford

Billy Lee Ford, 87, of Springfield, passed away Oct. 5, 2018, at Ozarks Methodist Manor in Marionville. He was born Jan. 16, 1931, in Elk City, Okla. to the late B.M. and Verna Ruth Ford.
Ford was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. In 1955, he married Carolyn Garten. He retired in 1988, after working for 31 years at Teledyne Continental Motors in Muskegon, Mich. After retirement, Bill and Carolyn lived in an RV full time, traveling around the country for 15 years, before settling in Springfield. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing pool.
Ford is survived by: his wife, of 63 years; daughters, Julie Wolf of Springfield, Pamela Ford of Lansing, Mich. and Angela Couch of Navarre, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora.
