Bobby Duane Norris

Bobby Duane Norris, 89, of Monett,  passed away Oct. 17, 2018, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield. He was born Aug. 10, 1929, in Springfield, to James Fred and Alice Zelma (Olson) Norris.
In 1948, he married Kathleen Joann Peters. He was an airline inspector and retired from Teledyne Corporation in Neosho. He was a St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Marionville.
Norris is survived by: his wife of 69 years; son, Ted (Susan) Norris of Monett; daughters, Barbara (Charles) Haddock of Hot Springs Village, Ark. and Gail Mackey of Monett; brother, Freddie (Jackie)Norris of Tulsa, Okla.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents; sisters, Charlyn (Bud) Martell and Shirley Ann Norris; and brother, Gary Norris.
A visitation was held Oct. 20, 2018, at the Williams Funeral Home in Marionville, with a funeral service that followed in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed at the Marionville IOOF Cemetery. Memorials may be made payable to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in care of the funeral home.
