Bobby Lee Crowe

Bobby Lee Crowe, 84, of Springfield, passed away Nov. 12, 2018, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon. He was born Feb. 9, 1934, in Dexter, to Cecil and Ethel (Patterson) Crowe.
Crowe was a 1952 graduate of Dexter High School in Dexter, and was a United States Air Force veteran retiring as a Master Sergeant after serving for 20 years during the Korean and Vietnam Era. After retiring from the Air Force he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia. He was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service in Springfield, retiring after 20 years. He loved country music, fishing, and was quite the pool player competing in tournaments and the Senior Olympics. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Springfield where he served as a deacon. In 1953, he married Glenda Julian, in Dexter.
He is survived by: his wife of 65 years of Springfield;  daughter, Cynthia (Daniel) Dunbar of Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.; five grandchildren, Jennifer Carman, Rebecca Tandy, Nicholas, Parker and Benjamin Dunbar; five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Thomas (Nadine) Crowe of Dexter. His parents, daughter, Karen Wolfe and sister, Carol Crowe, preceded him in death.
A graveside service, under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, will be held at 10 a.m. Nov. 16, 2018, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.
