Busted by 417 Predators, Haley released on bond

n Aurora man who allegedly attempted to meet an underage girl for sexual activity has been released on bond. Brian Haley, 52, was released on Monday, June 22. He was fitted with a GPS device and will be supervised while on bond by LBS Monitoring Services.
Haley was first booked into the jail on Jan. 8. According to the probable cause statement filed in the case, an officer with the Aurora Police Department was notified on Dec. 21, 2019 that Haley was in contact with someone he believed was a 14-year-old girl named Bethany; Bethany is the pseudonym of a decoy for 417 Predator Hunters.
The officer reported that in the messages, “Bethany” clearly stated she was 14 years of age, and that Haley asked her to “flash her breast to him” on the Skout messaging app. Bethany asked what they would do if they were to meet up, and Haley allegedly said “they would sit, talk and smoke,” and he allegedly offered Bethany drinks presumed to contain alcohol.
According to the probable cause statement, Haley arranged to meet Bethany on Dec. 22 at a location in Springfield. He allegedly asked her again to show him her breasts to prove that she wasn’t law enforcement. Haley was also reported to have said she “would love it” if he performed a sexual act on her.
Haley allegedly arrived at the location to meet with Haley on Dec. 22. According to the probable cause statement, a member of 417 Predator Hunters videotaped him trying to meet Bethany.
Haley is next scheduled to appear in court on Monday, July 13.
