CAROLYN ELIZABETH WITT

Carolyn Elizabeth Witt, 85, of Pierce City, passed away on Friday, Nov. 4. She was #11 of 12 children who was born in Pierce City, on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1937; daughter of Mike and Katherine (Hanlan) Campbell.
She was a 1955 graduate of Pierce City High School. She reconnected with her high school sweetheart and married James John Witt on Friday, Oct. 22, 1976, in Wichita, Kan.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the PCCW.
She is survived by: her daughter, Debbie (Mike) Goodman of Pierce City, a stepdaughter, Natasha Witt of Wichita, Kan.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a treasured caregiver, Kay Hauswirth; two brothers, Bob Campbell and Terry Campbell; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Witt; two children Beth (Doug) Brittain and Chris Terry; and nine siblings, Tom Campbell, Freda Koenig, Katherine Eck, Ann Bowman, Teresa Wynes, Ed Campbell, Bill Campbell, Pat Campbell, and Bernard Campbell.
The family will receive friends at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City on Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 6-7 p.m. A Prayer Service/Rosary will follow at 7 p.m.
 Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City, on Thursday, Nov. 10, beginning at 10 a.m. with Father Matt Rehrauer officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery in Sarcoxie.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s School.  Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
