CHARLES ALLEN MOORE

Charles Allen Moore, 56, of Springfield, passed away on Friday Oct. 14. He was born in Lockney, Tex. on Oct. 22, 1965 the son of late Leonard Charles and Dorothy (Newton) Moore. He was united in marriage on Aug. 14, 2016 in Aurora, to Cecilia Cook; she preceded him in death on January 18, 2018.
He was a mechanic by trade as well as serving his country in the United States Army in Afghanistan. He was of Baptist faith and a member of the Mt. Vernon VFW Post 4541.
He is survived by one step-daughter: Almeda Nichole Mejiah Miranda of Kansas City, Kan. and four sisters: Debra Moore of Springfield, Donna Pritchard of Mt. Vernon, Pam Compton of Springfield and Darla Brooks of Springfield.
Visitation and memorial services with Military Honors was held on Oct. 20 at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
Memorial donations for Charles may be made to the Kansas City Fisher House.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
