CHRISTOPHER (CHRIS) WHITE

Chris White, 56, of Miller passed away on January 12, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield Missouri. Chris was born to August Carlyl and Georgia Henrietta (Neves) White in Keokuk, Iowa on May 24, 1968.
Chris grew up in Williamstown, Missouri and graduated from Canton R5 High School. He was an avid outdoorsman loving to hunt and fish and just spend time in the timber. Chris never knew a stranger and would give you his last dollar if you needed it. He spent most of his life as an OTR truck driver. Chris served several years as a volunteer firefighter and was on the board of directors of the Miller Rural Fire Protection District. After a brief hiatus he returned in 2024 accepting a board of directors position. Chris was very dedicated to his community and loved helping others.
Chris married Stacy Howell on January 6, 1996, and to the union came Derrick(Gabby) White and grandsons, Roper and Bryson; and Sierra(Gage) Richardson and grandson, Waylon. He and Stacy divorced in 2016.
Chris then married Sheila White on May 7, 2022. He then gained bonus children Andrea(Eathan) Bertram and grandchildren, Brayden and Brylee; Christina(Tevin) Black and grandchildren, Ariana, Madilynn and Christian; and Taylor Tripp. Also surviving are siblings: Larry(Mary Lou) White, Connie(Butch) Billups and Cathy(Jeremiah) McQueen; brother-in-law, Sam Durst; in-laws, Wayne and Barb Howell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; three sisters; his brother-in-law, CW Bergheger; and two nephews.
In warm weather you could find Chris sitting at the “Miller Bandstand” with a bunch of his friends drinking tea and discussing the “world events”. Chris was not bashful about voicing his personal opinion on political topics, but neither was he shy about helping his neighbors and friends if they were in need. Chris made a positive impact on every life he touched. He was truly loved and will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
