Christopher Laverne Parrish

Christopher Laverne “Parrish, 53, of Joplin, formerly of Monett, passed away Aug. 10, 2019, while at the University of Kansas Health Center in Kansas City, Kan.
Parrish was born Oct. 22, 1965 in Monett, to the late Theodore and Sandra (Patton) Parrish. He graduated from Monett High School with the class of 1984 and furthered his education at the Draughon’s Business College in Joplin.He had worked in the Healthcare Insurance industry for many years.
He is survived by: sister, Lisa (Mike)Hill of Spokane, Wash; five nephews; one niece; and one great-niece.
A memorial service was held Aug. 17, 2019 at Buchanan Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Gunter Cemetery in Butterfield. Memorials have been requested to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements were under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home.
