Cotey Gene Gold

Cotey Gene Gold, 31, of Springfield, passed away May 4, 2019, at the University Hospital in Columbia. He was born May 18, 1987, in Springfield, to Troy and Jesse (Gold) Alley.
Gold was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and was a customer service representative for JP Morgan Chase & Company in Springfield. In 2015, he married Nakita Johnson in Aurora.
Gold is survived by: his wife; mother, Jesse Alley of Springfield; brothers, Jack Forrester of Willard and Mitchele Forrester of Aurora and his biological father, Billy Forrester of Aurora. He was preceded in death by: his father, Troy Alley; grandparents, Willis and Judy Gold and Ed Johnson; great-grandfather, Eldon Gold.
