Cox Monett named one of the best hospitals in the nation for overall quality care

Hospital receives five-star rating from CMS
 
Cox Monett Hospital has achieved a five-star overall quality rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This prestigious rating puts Cox Monett among the top performers of 4,500 hospitals surveyed nationwide.
Publicly reported on the Medicare.gov website, the Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating assigned by CMS through the Hospital Compare overall rating scale, uses individual hospital data incorporating outcome measures such as safety of care, readmission, patient experience, effectiveness of care, mortality, timeliness of care, and efficient use of medical imaging.
“This five-star designation is a tribute to the hard work of our dedicated caregivers who are committed to making Cox Monett the best place to work and receive care in the nation,” said Andrea McKay, president of Cox Monett. “From Environmental Services to nursing, there is a high level of accountability and reliable consistency by our staff to deliver compassionate care to those who need us—which is what our community deserves.”
The star ratings range from one to five stars, with five stars being the best.
Star ratings were developed to help the U.S. government share data with the public to help consumers by allowing them to more easily compare the quality provided by hospitals. The program requires ongoing management of monitoring this quality data.

Cox Monett previously achieved a five-star rating in patient satisfaction in 2018. In addition, the hospital was recently awarded the American Heart Association’s SilverPlus Get with the Guidelines – Stroke quality achievement award.
Cox Medical Center Branson also achieved five stars for stellar quality care in the latest two year reporting period.
Both hospitals plan to celebrate their top ratings soon.
