Cyndie McNeely Pendleton

Cyndie McNeely Pendleton, 64, passed away Monday, August 19th, 2019.  Her husband Rick,  son Eric and his wife Amy were by her side, holding her hands and softly serenading her as she peacefully slipped away.   Rick and Cyndie were married at the Miller Band Stand in Miller, MO on May 30th, 2015 surrounded by friends and family.  She was a lover of all animals - especially her fur children. She enjoyed many outdoor activities, including fishing, canoeing, hiking, gardening, and enjoying the beauty of nature.
Born May 20, 1955 to Jim and Dorothy McNeely, Cyndie worked with her father in his photography business for many years before retiring from the US Postal Service in 2017.
One of Cyndie’s passions in life was her Facebook page, “Blame it on My Hippie Soul”. The page was created to remind others to be kind, happy, and authentic. She was so grateful for the friendships she developed through this page, especially Addison O’Shea, Candy Miller, and Daniel Barreau.  “Always find time for the things that make you feel happy to be alive.” This is a creed that Cyndie lived by. She made the most of every song, smile, and moment of her short and wonderful life.  Happiness pervaded every ounce of her being because of her genuine heart, and she made a point to spread that joy to others with jokes, hugs, and simply being there for them. She cared about her friends and family more than anything and she was always there to love and support them. Her hippie soul was one of joy, hope and unconditional love, and now, that beautiful soul is flying over us.
Cyndie is survived by her husband Rick, of Miller, MO, Father Jim McNeely of Miller, MO, Son Eric Schmidt his wife, Amy and children Anna and Daniel of Carl Junction, MO, Sister Kathy Anderson of Mt. Vernon, MO, and a host of in-laws and nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.   Her mother, Dorothy McNeely,  preceded her in death.
Friends and family are invited to join us for a celebration of life, Sunday, Sept. 8th, 2019 from 12-3 pm at the Senior Citizens Center in Miller, MO.
In lieu of flowers, her family would ask that you perform Random Acts of Kindness in her honor.
Creative mind, Free Spirit and a Hippie Soul.
