Darlena Kaye Jones

Darlena Kaye Jones, age 58, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 4:05 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at the Cox South Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri. She was born May 25, 1962, in Aurora, Missouri, the daughter of George David and Beverly (Garner) Stewart Jr.
Darlena was a 1980 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and graduated from Bryan Career College in Springfield, Missouri with her Associate degree in Business.  She was a member of the Chesapeake Baptist Church.
Darlena is survived by her parents, George and Beverly Stewart of Mt. Vernon; one son, David Reed and his wife, Ashley, of Stotts City, Missouri; two daughters, Lela Reed and Sarah Jones of Mt. Vernon; six grandchildren, Destiny and David Weaver, Dominic and Christian Schnelten and Willow and Meadow Reed; two sisters, Sandra Robinson and her husband, Gary, of Springfield, Missouri and Dawn Allen and her husband, Larry, of Republic, Missouri; one brother, Roger Stewart and his wife, Trang, of Springfield and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service, under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, was held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2020, at the Chesapeake Baptist Church.
