DAVID H. CARDER

David H. Carder, 75, of Springfield, Missouri passed away Friday, February 14, 2025, at Springfield Mercy Hospital. David was born in Monett, Missouri on Sunday, October 16, 1949; to Bud and Mildred (Harvill) Carder.
He graduated from Pierce City High School with the class of 1967.
David was a carpenter in the Monett and Pierce City area for many years. He enlisted in the Army National Guard in 1969 and proudly served in the 203rd Engineer Battalion for 25 years, retiring as First Sergeant.
On November 1, 2002, David married Loanna (Eimer) Carder, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Loanna, David is survived by his four daughters: Callista Carder of Rogers, Arkansas and Rachelle (Shawn) Brown, Mellanie Carder, and Jennifer (Lance) Eaton, all of Pierce City, Missouri; a step-daughter, Tracy Haverland of Springfield, Missouri; a step-son, Michael Howerton of Ozark, Missouri; seven grandchildren: Baleigh (Brenden) Kleiboeker of Wentworth, Missouri; Deidre, Adelyn, and Emerie Brown, Claire, Carder, and Luke Eaton, all of Pierce City, Missouri; three step-grandsons: Kyle and Matthew Haverland of Springfield, Missouri and Ty Howerton of Ozark, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Gary Flehmer of Pierce City, Missouri and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Mildred; a brother, Gary Carder-McNeal and a sister, Janice Flehmer.
Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Buchanan Funeral Home, with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services with military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Buchanan Funeral Home. Father Matt Rehrauer will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Pierce City Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
