DAVID TENNISON SPENCER, JR.

David Tennison Spencer, Jr., 83, of Republic passed away on March 11, 2024. He was born on Oct. 5, 1960, to David T. Spencer, Sr. and Fannie Lou (Gibbs) Spencer in Amarillo, Texas.
He was raised in southern California with his siblings, where he would later graduate high school. He was a member of the US Army, then found his calling as a maintenance man for several companies.
He married Brenda and together they had three sons. They were married for 23 years.
He was a born-again Christian and was a member of James River Church, where he was recently baptized.  
He is survived by his wife Brenda Sue (Miller) Spencer; three sons David Spencer III, Bryan Spencer, and Shawn Spencer; his mother, Fannie Lou; his brothers: Michael, James, Joshua, and Danny; as well as a sister Debra “Sarah”; and  his beloved Quaker Parrot, Frankie; as well as countless other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, David T. Spencer, Sr. and his stepmother. A private celebration of life will be held by the family. There are no public services at this time.
