DENISE DAWN HUDSON

Denise Dawn Hudson, 57, of Verona passed away on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025. She was born in Aurora on Nov. 27, 1967; the daughter of Dennis Lewis and Patricia Gilmartin.
She attended Monett, Pierce City and Verona schools. She was an EMT for many years with the Barry/Lawrence ambulance district. She was a nurse at Tyson Foods, and she was a cake decorator for Dairy Queen.
She is survived by her husband George; her two children, Johnathon (Shonda) Hudson of Aurora and Tori (Kendall) Smith of Aurora; three grandchildren; three sisters: Jami Lewis-Bergesch of Monett, Kim Lewis-Probstfield of Ava and Lisa Bryan of Jacksonville, Fla.; and her stepfather, Jeff Miller of Verona.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jackie Lewis; her maternal grandparents, Barbara, and Jack Gilmartin; paternal grandparents, Jay and Jerry Lewis and one nephew, Derrick Lewis.
Services were held on Friday, Jan. 31, at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
