Doris Marie Gaddy

Doris Marie Gaddy was born Nov. 9, 1931 in Monett. She passed away July 1, 2021 at James River Nursing Home after a short illness.
Gaddy grew up in Monett where she met and married the love of her life, Robert Gaddy in 1946. To this union, three children were born. They moved to Springfield in 1964. They shared 65 years of marriage.
Gaddy was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Springfield.
Gaddy is survived by her son and daughter-in law, Larry and Marianne Gaddy of Pleasant Hope; son, Bob Gaddy of Topeka, Kan.; four granddaughters; one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter. In addition to her husband, Gaddy was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Julia; her parents and two sisters.
Informal visitation was held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home July 6, 2021. Graveside service was held at the IOOF Cemetery in Monett, July 8.
