Dorothea Louise Decker

Dorothea Louise Decker, 98, of Aurora, passed away at June 2, 2019, at Woodland Manor Nursing Home, in Springfield. She was born June 1, 1921, in York, Neb., to Frank Claude and Goldie Mae (Jay) Armintrout.
Decker was a 1939 graduate of Minatare High School in Minatare, Neb. and attended one year of beauty school. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church in Aurora. In 1948, she married William R. “Bill” Decker; he preceded her in death in 2000.
Decker is survived by: daughter, Dottie Watts of Springfield; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Frank and Goldie; her husband; daughter, Shirley Swisher; brothers, Leroy and Curtis Armintrout; and a grandson.
A funeral service was held June 7, 2019, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora. Burial followed at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora. Memorials may be made payable to Woodland Manor Nursing Home, in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared at
