Earl R. Thomas

Earl R. “Richard” Thomas, 96, of Monett passed away  Tuesday Aug. 31, 2021 while at Cox South in Springfield. He was born in Glendale, Calif. on Feb. 26, 1925; the son of the late Earl and Grace (Marshal) Thomas.
He was a retired meat cutter; a Veteran of the United States Army serving his county during World War II and was a member of the South Street Christian Church in Springfield and the Monett V.F.W. Post# 4207.
Richard is survived by one daughter: Becky Hurley of Monett; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial services for Richard are pending and will be released upon completion.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
