Elephant Stew

The Record’s “Recipe of the Week”:
Elephant Stew by R.U. Kiddin

1 elephant
Salt and pepper, to taste
Brown gravy
2 rabbits

Cut the elephant into bite-sized pieces (this will take about 4 months). Cook over kerosene at 525° until tender (about 5 months). Add salt and pepper. Cover with gravy.

Serves 3,800 people.

If more people are expected, add 2 rabbits. But do this only if necessary as most people don’t like to find a hare in their stew.
