ELIZABETH WILEEN PENDLETON

Elizabeth Wileen Pendleton, 67, of Mt. Vernon passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She was born Aug. 13, 1956, in Springfield, the daughter of Arthur and Lucille (Tubbs) Carroll.
She was a 1974 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and worked as a service writer for the Ford Motor Company. She was a member of the Mt. Vernon Eagles and the New Hope Baptist Church.
On Dec. 26, 1977, she married Randall Leon “Randy” Pendleton in Halltown. They were married for almost 40 years when he passed away on March 18, 2017.
She is survived by two sons, Randall (Beverly) Pendleton and Jeremy Pendleton, all of Mt. Vernon; four grandchildren; one sister, Thelma (Ronnie) Brown of Mt. Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Randall; her parents; her sister, Lydia Beavers; and her daughter-in-law, Kerry Pendleton.
A visitation and funeral services were held on Monday, March 18, at Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Burial followed at Miller Memorial Gardens.
