Falling Down-town Aurora

A gaping hole is left in the side of the EV Rathbone Building after the building’s wall collapsed in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Dec. 18.  The structure is located at the corner of E. Olive and Madison; as of press time, a section of Madison in front of the building was closed to traffic. It was reported that the owners of the building plan to have it torn down. In February 2016, another downtown Aurora building partially collapsed, that one at Madison and Pleasant Street. It has since been demolished. (Photo by Steve Chapman)
