Fire claims home north of Mt. Vernon

Pictured above, the home of Randall and Wileen Pendleton, located at 10371 Lawrence 1150, in Mt. Vernon following a house fire on Sunday, July 2. The blaze appeared to start in the garage and spread quickly to the home. The source of the fire is unknown at this time, the home and a Ford pickup which also became engulfed in the inferno, were a total loss. (Photos by Ryan Squibb)
