Floyd Ray Wood

Floyd Ray Wood, 72, passed away Feb. 28, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He was born May 6, 1947, to Raymond and Virginia (Howard) Wood. He married his high school sweetheart, Sally, in 1971.
After graduating from Southwest Missouri State College (now MSU), he worked for the department of family services and then for the department of health. When he retired, he began substitute teaching.
Wood is survived by: his wife; sister, Vivian; and sister-in-law, Jeanie Brown; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
