Forrest Arthur “Frosty” Garland

Forrest Arthur “Frosty” Garland, 85, of Cassville, passed away Monday, Aug. 17, 2026 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
He was born Jan. 25, 1941 in Viola, the son of Joseph and Bernice (Willyard) Garland. On June 24, 1995 in Jenkins, he was united in marriage to Marty Hall, who survives. Also surviving are his son, Joe Garland and wife Melissa of Cassville; daughter, Diana Soole and husband James of Exeter; brothers, Sanford Garland and wife Arlene and Cliff Garland; sisters, Mary Ann Reger and Olive Houston and six grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Gilbert; sister, Emma Brewer and grandson David Soole.
He lived his entire life in Barry County, attending school in Cassville and graduating from Cassville High School. He owned and operated Frosty’s Garage for many years while also raising cattle and crop farming. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. 
Graveside service was held on Saturday, Aug. 22, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Cassville, and a memorial service was held Saturday, Aug. 22, at Victory Baptist Church in Cassville, both are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Russell Bishop, Pastor Wyatt Clevenger, and Pastor Trent Huse will conduct the services. 
The family received friends on Friday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
