Frank Wilson Neimeyer

Frank Wilson Neimeyer, 95, of Marionville, passed away Feb. 24, 2019, at the Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He was born July 19, 1923, in Mt. Vernon, to Julius Henry and Clara Minnie (Sehnert) Neimeyer.
Neimeyer was a 1942 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and was a United States Army veteran serving during World War II. He was the owner of Neimeyer Shoe Store in Aurora. He was a longtime member of the Aurora Lions Club, American Legion Post 126, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and the Aurora United Methodist Church. In 1945, he married Sarah Ann Ritter in Higginsville. She preceded him in death in 1997. He married Phyllis Edwards-Florer in Aurora and she preceded him in death in 2018.
Neimeyer is survived by: his daughter, Ethel (James) Blankenship, of Kansas City; son, George (Nancy) Neimeyer, of St. Louis; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; step-children, Gary (Andra) Florer of Butterfield, Gail James of Shell Knob and Julia (Raymond) Rackley of Monroe, N.C.; and foreign exchange student, Bernd Kallenberger of Germany. Neimeyer was preceded in death by: his parents; first wife, Sarah Ann Ritter and second wife, Phyllis Edwards-Florer; daughter, Donna Sue; sisters, Rose Mae Spradling and Ruth Kirchhoff; brothers, George, Ralph and Edward Neimeyer.
A visitation, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, was held from 10-11 a.m. March 1, 2019, at the Aurora United Methodist Church with a funeral service that followed at the church. Burial with full military honors was at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora. Memorials may be made payable to the Ozarks Methodist Manor employee Christmas fund or to the Aurora United Methodist Church, in care of the funeral home.
