Gail Diann Bennett

Gail Diann Bennett, 78, of Mt. Vernon, passed away March 17, 2019, at the Cox South Hospital in Springfield. She was born May 20, 1940, in St. Louis County, to William Gideon and Virginia Inez (Hagon) Bennett.
Bennett was a certified nursing technician with Mercy Villa in Springfield and was a member of the Chesapeake Baptist Church.
Bennett is survived by: daughters, Rebecca (William) Henson of Republic, Diann (Brian) Condon and Judith Frank all of Springfield; sons, Robert Molkenbur of Farmington, Walter and Parnell Molkenbur of Springfield and Vincent Molkenbur of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Barbara Toler of Silva and Linda Melzer of Apex, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; and sisters, Billie, Virginia and Janet.
A visitation will be held from 12:30-1 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at the Chesapeake Baptist Church with a memorial service at 1 p.m. at the church.
