Gary “Butch” Reavis

Gary “Butch” Reavis, 73, was born Dec. 20, 1945, to Buck and Thelma (McCullah) Reavis. He passed away June 23, 2019, in his home. He married Jerry Lynne Bennett in 1969.  They would have been married 50 years in September.
Survivors include: his wife; son, Chad Reavis of Crane;  daughters, Beth (Jeff) Rich and Rachal Reavis all of Crane;  brothers, Jerry (Vida) Reavis and Kenny (Brenda) Reavis all of Crane; brother-in-law, Doug Bennett of Crane; sister-in-law’s, Jane Reavis of Marionville and Sarah (Matt) Swadley of Aurora; two grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a lifetime of friendships that he cherished. He was preceded in death by: his mother and father; brothers, Bob (Patsy) Reavis, Jim (May) Reavis, Bill (Geneva) Reavis and, Ted Reavis and one nephew.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 27 at 2 p.m. in the Reavisville Baptist Church under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Mars Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 1 p.m. until service time in the church.
