Gaylord Conway Drake, 80, of Monett passed away March 20, 2020 while at his home in Monett. He was born in Monett March 10, 1940; to the late Hiram and Oma (Coffey) Drake. He was married in Miami, Okla. In 1958 to Adelma Witt; she survives. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the New Liberty Methodist Church in Monett.
Drake is survived by: his wife Adelma; son, Michael (Richard Neumann) Drake of Vincennes, Ind.; sisters: Wilma Callan and Frances Thomas both of Monett and Sue Luney of Pierce City; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Larry Drake.
Graveside services are being held Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the King’s Prairie Cemetery near Monett. Memorials may be made to the King’s Prairie Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
