George W. Miller

George W. Miller, 85, of Webb City, passed away Feb. 13, 2019, at Freeman Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Miller was born June 4, 1933 in Wichita, Kan., to the late Benjamin Frank and Sylvia (Nixon) Miller. He served in the US Army during Korea. He has lived in the Webb City area since 1981. He worked as an accountant for Conoco Oil Company in Ponca City, Okla. and Tyson Foods in Monett. until his retirement in 1995. After retirement he worked for Stone Hill Winery in Branson. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Webb City. Miller loved flea markets, auctions and garage sales. He was an avid Webb City Cardinal fan enjoying football games the most.
He married Donna Norris in 1957, in Pittsburg, Kan., and she preceded him in death in 2017.
Miller is survived by: daughters, Penny Miller and Vickie Miller Aldridge, both of Webb City; son, Frank (Natalie) Miller of Republic; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother, Owen Miller and two granddaughters.
Memorial services were held Saturday at First Baptist Church of Webb City. Memorials may be given to the Webb City R-7 Foundation. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
