GLENN REAGAN PENNINGTON, SR.

Glenn Reagan Pennington, Sr., 74, of Golden passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025 at his home. He was born in Houston, Texas on Feb. 27, 1951; the son of Fred and Ruth (Kelley) Pennington.
He grew up and attended school in Tarkington, Texas where he graduated from Tarkington High School.
In 1971, he married Sharon Yargo in Cleveland, Texas. They were married for 38 years before she passed away in 2009.
He retired from the United States Army as staff sergeant in 1995 in Lawton, Okla. at Fort Sill after 26 years that included serving three tours in Vietnam. He was a member of the Iron Order Motorcycle Club, and was involved with a horse rescue organization. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by three sons: Glenn Reagan Pennington, Jr. and his fiancée Deanna Vestal of Golden, Fred Lee (Teresa) Pennington and James Robert (Rebecca) Pennington all of Lawton, Okla.; sister, Frances Martin and her husband John of Crosby, Texas; three granddaughters; daughter-in-law, Tammy Ann Byrd of Lawton, Okla. on niece and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon and his parents.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 28, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Tony Ball will conduct the service.
