Gregory Scott “Greg” Klein

Gregory Scott “Greg” Klein, 54, of Monett, passed away April 11, 2019.
He was born Aug. 31, 1964 in Clinton, Okla., to George G. and Melba M. (Baker) Klein. In 2014, he was married to Cathy Simpson, who survives.
Also surviving is: his father and step-mother, George and Wanda L. Klein of Wichita, Kan.; son, Scott Klein of Purdy; two step-children, Chance Barnes and Abby (Tyler) Halford both of West Plains; brother, Ronnie (Teresa) Klein of Butler, Okla.; sister, Teresa (Michael) Chaloner of Edmond, Okla.; and two grandchildren. Preceding him in death was his mother, in 2005.
Klein graduated from high school in Butler, Okla. and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He then worked for Alltel in Oklahoma and in 1988 transferred to Southwest Missouri. Klein owned and operated an electrical company in Monett, known as Greg Klein Electric, he also farmed raising cattle and chickens, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Some of his favorite pastimes were singing and playing his bass guitar.
Services were held April 14, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Purdy, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Butler Cemetery in Butler, Okla. under direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, Okla
