Here comes the cavalry!

 Missouri Veterans Home, Mt. Vernon resident Charlie Dykes had one wish for his 90th birthday celebration. He wanted to ride a horse. Dyke’s family was eager to make that happen. Nephew Bobby Dykes brought an older, tame mare to see Charlie at the Veterans Home on Monday, July 8. Although family members were on hand to assist Dykes with getting on the horse, he proved what an old pro he really was, needing very little help.
