Herman James Martin

Herman James Martin, 93, of Mount Vernon, passed away Oct. 20, 2019. He was born Dec. 16, 1925, in Yakin Co, N.C., to Manley and Lilly Martin. Martin was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Hood and Steve (Debbie) Martin; a granddaughter; two great-grandsons; two great-great-granddaughters; and brother, Raymond Martin.
Services will be held at a later date in North Carolina.
