Hwy. 174 crash results in serious injury of driver

On Aug. 16, Robert M. Moya, 52, of Miller was driving his 2008 Ford Mustang eastbound on Mo. 174 just east of Mt. Vernon when his car crossed the center line and struck Brooke S. Wendler, 23, of Mt. Vernon head on. Wendler was driving a 2011 Honda Accord westbound when she was hit by Moya.
Both vehicles were totaled and Wendler was taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital with serious injuries. Moya was taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital with moderate injuries.
