I-44 Reduced to One Eastbound Lane at Lawrence County Road 1147 (MM 46) At Mt. Vernon Sept. 23-25

Eastbound traffic on I-44 will be reduced to one lane over Lawrence County Road 1147 near mile marker 46 at Mt. Vernon for pavement repair.
Work will begin at 8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 23 and will conclude at noon on Friday, Sept. 25.
Traffic impacts will include:
-traffic reduced to one lane;
-speed limit will be reduced to 60 mph through the work zone;
-there will be no signed detours and drivers should look for alternate routes.
All ramps at Exit 46 will remain open during construction.
This work is part of the larger I-44 Project Bridge Rebuild project to replace or rehabilitate 13 bridges along I-44 between Sarcoxie and Halltown.
Weather and or construction delays will alter the schedule.
