James Eugene Davis

James Eugene Davis, 86, of Springfield, formerly of Sacramento, Calif., passed away June 25, 2019, at his home. He was born Nov. 14, 1932, in Alberta County, Ark. to James Sterlin and Mary Lucinda (Huggins) Davis.
Davis was the owner/operator of the Dynamic Roofing Company in Sacramento, Calif., that he started in 1972. In 1951, he married Norma Nadine Ivens, in Minden. Davis and his wife Norma have been missionary’s to Mexico since 1984 and was a member of the Galloway Full Gospel Church in Springfield.
Davis is survived by: his wife of 68 years; daughters, Sharon (Jerry) Hansen of Sacramento and Pamela Bussey of Springfield; brother, Jerry (Anita) Davis of Sacramento; four grandchildren; two great-grandsons that they raised as son’s, Brent (Crystal) Weaver of Marshfield and Nicholas Weaver of Springfield; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one adoptive great-grandson. He was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers; three sisters; one grandson; and son-in- law.
A visitation will be held from 10–11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri, with a graveside service to follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Mt.
