James J. Dalton

James J. Dalton, 89, of Aurora, passed away May 23, 2019, at Mt. Vernon Veteran’s Home. Dalton was born in Kansas City July 28, 1929, to Homer and Gertrude (Gear) Dalton. Dalton served his country in the U.S. Army from 1951-1956. He worked for Mid Am Dairy for over 42 years as a milk tester before retiring.
Surviving are the following: children, Terry Massengill of Clarendon, Texas, Dennis Massengill of Clarendon, Texas, Don Massengill of Verona, Sherry Soutee of Republic, Donna Hall of Las Vegas, Nev. and Kathy Heltzel of Phoenix, Ariz.; and several grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at Moore Cemetery in Stotts City May 29, 2019, with burial that followed. Arrangements were under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
