JAMES "JIM" JOHN WITT

James "Jim" John Witt, 88, of Pierce City, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at Lacoba Homes Inc. in Monett.  He was born in Pulaskifield on Saturday, Aug. 18, 1934; son of Edmund and Amelia (Roschevitz) Witt.
He was a 1954 graduate from Monett High School. On Oct. 22, 1976, he married Carolyn (Campbell) Terry in Wichita, Kan. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City.  
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Pierce City: one daughter, Natasha Witt of Wichita, Kan.; one stepdaughter, Debbie (Mike) Goodman of Pierce City; one brother, Steve Witt of Spokane, Wash.; two sisters, Rosie Meeks of Monett and Connie York of Joplin; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren with another coming in December; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Victor, Chester, and Elmer Witt; three sisters, Clara May Hull, Joan Stephens, and Elizabeth Kitterman; a stepdaughter, Beth Brittain; and two stepsons, Theron Labat and Chris Terry.
Visitation, Prayer Service and Rosary were held at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City on Sunday, Oct. 30.
Services were held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City, on Monday, Oct. 31, with Father Matt Rehrauer officiating.  Burial followed at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery in Sarcoxie. Arrangements were under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic School in care of the funeral home.
