James Patrick Freeman

James Patrick Freeman, 63, of Pierce City, passed away Sept. 3, 2019 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. Freeman was born in Monett, Jan. 16, 1956 to James and Frances (Seufert) Freeman. He graduated from Pierce City High School and attended college at MU in Columbia. Freeman was married to Lynn Barnes Jan. 16, 2005, in Pierce City. He was a painter. Freeman was a member of the St. Mary’s Church and served on the Pierce City Park Board for many years. He enjoyed helping out the community and spent many hours volunteering at the Pierce City Park.
Surviving are the following: wife, Lynn of the home; step-daughter, Cassy Cahalan of Pierce City; five sisters, Mary Ann Freeman of Minn., Jeanette Hartzell of Fla., Jane Dick of Okla., Janice Freeman of Okla. and Alice Freeman of Okla.; brothers, Jerry Freeman of Colo. and Mike Freeman of Ore.; and two grandchildren.
