JIMMIE C REA

Jimmie C. Rea, 86, of Aurora, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at the Aurora Nursing Center. He was born Sept. 27, 1936, Crane, the son of James Monroe and Jo Francis (Mitchell) Rea.
He was a 1955 graduate of Crane High School and worked at MWM Dexter in the human resources department for 30 plus years retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Aurora Baptist Temple and the Eagles Lodge in Shell Knob.
On April 23, 1960, he married Bonnie Lou Berry in Aurora. They were married for 57 years when she passed away on Nov. 6, 2017.
He is survived by his daughter, Peggy Collins and her husband, Kerry, of St. Louis; three grandchildren; one brother, William Rea, of Aurora and one sister-in-law, Jean Berry of Fallbrook, Calif..
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, James, and Jo; wife Bonnie and two brothers-in-law, Leonard, and Earl Berry.
A graveside service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
