Jimmie Norman

Jimmie Norman, 83, of Shell Knob, passed away June 2, 2020 at Lawrence County Manor in Mt. Vernon.
He was born July 18, 1936 in Aurora, to John and Lorres (Davis) Norman. In 1988 he married Patricia Florence Halsey who preceded him in death in 2019.
Norman grew up and received his education in Aurora where he graduated high school. From 1956 until 1957 he served in the United States Navy. For several years he owned and operated an excavation company. Later, after moving to Shell Knob he owned and operated Ozark Mountain Water Company. He was a member of the Shriners, Lions Club, Eagles Club and was involved in numerous Bass Tournaments. He was a member of First Christian Church in Shell Knob.
Surviving are: step-son, Randy Lynn (Helen) Baker of White Pigeon, Mich.; brother–in-law, Donald (Joanne) LaChappell of Clifton, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents wives, Sue and Pat.
Services were held June 5, 2020 at First Christian Church in Shell Knob under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Shell Knob. Burial will be at Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Springfield at a later date. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
